1 Who we are
Tareefy ("Tareefy", "we", "us", "our") is a service that helps small local businesses in India manage their Google Business Profile and social presence. It is operated by Harsh Chauhan (sole proprietor), based in Surat, Gujarat, India.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Tareefy, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you do not agree with it, please do not use Tareefy.
2 Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, business name, email address, and WhatsApp or phone number.
- Business information: details about your shop such as category, address, hours, and photos you choose to add.
- Content: messages, review replies, and posts you create, edit, or approve inside Tareefy.
Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data: basic information about how you use the app, your device type, and app version, used to keep the service working and to improve it.
- Cookies and local storage on our website for essential functions and preferences. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.
3 Google account data
If you choose to connect your Google Business Profile, Tareefy asks for your permission through Google's secure sign-in (OAuth). We only request access to what is needed to provide the features you use, which may include:
- your business profile details (name, address, hours, categories);
- reviews left on your profile, so we can help you read and reply to them;
- posts and updates, so we can help you publish them.
You can review and remove Tareefy's access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. We never ask for your Google password, and we cannot see it.
4 How we use your information
- to provide Tareefy's features: helping you collect reviews, draft and post replies, and create posts;
- to generate content suggestions in your chosen language (Hindi, Gujarati, or English);
- to communicate with you about your account and support requests, including over WhatsApp or email;
- to keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the content of your Google reviews or business data for advertising.
5 Google API Services and Limited Use
Tareefy's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In practice this means we only use Google user data to provide and improve the features you have asked for, we do not transfer or sell it to third parties except as needed to run those features or as required by law, we do not use it for advertising, and no humans read your Google data except where you give permission, where it is needed for security or support, or where the law requires it.
7 Storage and security
Your information is stored on secured cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit, access controls, and authentication to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if a problem occurs.
8 Data retention and deletion
We keep your information only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations. You can:
- Disconnect Google at any time from your Google Account permissions, which stops Tareefy from accessing new data;
- Delete your account and data by writing to hello@tareefy.in. We will delete your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must keep limited records to comply with the law.
9 Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to tell you how it is used. To make a request, write to hello@tareefy.in and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10 Children's privacy
Tareefy is a tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will remove it.
11 Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date at the top and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Continuing to use Tareefy after an update means you accept the revised policy.
